China Camp State Park

Thanks to the organization by Erica and Geoff, we spent a wonderful time camping at China Camp State Park, just north of San Francisco.


It's always great to discover a beautiful place and then realize that it's so close to the city, one could go there with little effort and on short notice. China Camp is such a place - nestled into the bay with lots of nature and views onto the water.



Even though this qualifies as "car camping", you cannot park directly at your campsite, but have to walk the last 200 yards or so from the parking lot (*outrage*). Here's one solution to the obvious problem of how to haul the living room tent, surround-sound-system and popcorn machine to your campsite.
