Boston
I went to Boston for four days to attend the IEEE HotWeb 2006 Workshop. The workshop was fun and I met a lot of interesting people.
I took a red-eye flight from Saturday to Sunday, so I had all day Sunday to explore the city. I've been to Boston once before, a long time ago. It's a great city with a lot of New England charm. I spent most of Sunday morning walking from the Hotel in the Back Bay to the North End and finally settled for a comfy chair at a Starbucks to read some papers for school and wait for the Hotel to get my room ready. In the afternoon I visited the Museum of Fine Arts, which has many great exhibitions.
My original plan was to meet a friend from MIT during my stay, but she's currently in Africa, working on new technologies for renewable energy, which is totally cool. Her project website is at www.solarturbinegroup.org.
